Because our main aim in life is to always be planning or heading off on our next holiday, in five and a bit weeks we are going to Indonesia.

First, we are doing this tour to visit some volcanoes on the island of Java.  Totally not my cup of tea but the boy is a big fan of volcanoes so we will spend three days there.  The second day starts at 2.30am (!) so you can see the sunrise over Bromo.  Oh joy.

Then, my part of the holiday kicks in.  We are going to Bali to stay in Ubud, at Ubud Hanging Gardens resort.  Now THAT'S what I call a holiday!

An idea

I've been thinking about adding posts and photos from previous holidays to this blog. They won't be as detailed as the Canada and New Zealand and any future trips, as I can't possibly remember what we did every day, but a general idea and some nice photos could be cool.

Talking about the holiday

Since we seem to have exhausted the itinerary discussion, the boy and I have been just talking about the holiday. We are both looking forward to it so much. We go on a holiday every year but this is our biggest undertaking so far.

We don't have many plans for San Francisco (okay none) but we've decided we're going to adopt the bar and party culture and go out every night! We don't do it at home so why not? I'm sure we'll find other stuff to do as well.

The boy has even started having dreams about our holiday at night. It's 8 weeks and 6 days (NOT that we're counting lol) until we leave so that's a lot of dreams to be had between now and then.

Talking about our holiday

So this is the blog for my big adventure to the US and Canada this year. I'll be going with my partner (forever referred to as the Boy).

We leave on October 3. It's very exciting.
